This three-day PI-21 developed course teaches managers and practitioners a practical approach to defining leading, lagging and task oriented indicators to track the success of business objectives. The first day of this course provides an overview of the 7 steps needed to set realistic objectives based on the corporate vision and strategic direction. With realistic objectives in hand, the course turns to the definitions of the associated measures needed in a real-world environment to measure goal achievement. The second and third days follow a case study of a factious organization from setting business objectives and defining associated indicators, to communicating results and taking proactive action when needed.
This course provides real world examples to ensure participants can take home ideas to turn business needs into measured successes. The exercises and case studies are used to help drive difficult points home while the instructors clarify practical approaches to developing measurable business objectives and associated indicators to track the success of meeting those objectives and minimizing the pitfalls that measurement programs often fall into.
